Hastings resident, Ruth Delores Hadenfeldt, 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
Services will be Thursday, June 29th, 2017 at 10:30 at Christ Lutheran Church in Juniata with Pastor Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home in Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church and School, Juniata.
Ruth was born to Eckhardt and Caroline (Augustine) Frickey on September 24, 1933. She married the love of her life, Myron Hadenfeldt on December 1954.
Ruth was a long time member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Juniata. She was an active member of the LWML, the American Legion Auxiliary and she quilted with her pals in the church basement.
She enjoyed following her familys activities and she was an amazing role model for her family.
She is survived by her husband Myron of Hastings, children, Debora (Steven) Startzer of Lincoln, daughter in law, Heidi Hadenfeldt of Denton, Kevin (Teresa) Hadenfeldt of Columbus, Kent (Lisa) Hadenfeldt of Scottsbluff and, sister, Elaine Carter of New Mexico, three sisters in law, Myrna Frickey of Doniphan, Joyce Hadenfeldt and Ellen (Bill) Nabower of Kenesaw, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren due in October and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, David, three brothers and one sister.
