Ruth D. Sherman, 84, of Grand Island died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Wedgewood Care Center, Grand Island, NE



Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Apfel Funeral Home with Derek Apfel, CFC officiating. Burial will be in Cedarview Cemetery, Doniphan, NE. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the Apfel Funeral Home, Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to the family. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.



Miss Sherman was born, August 5, 1932 in Hastings, NE the daughter of Fred & Laura (Bushnell) Sherman, Sr. She grew to womanhood in Doniphan and received her education in Juniata and Hastings area. She was employed by an upholstery shop in Hastings. In 1971 she relocated to Grand Island where she remained. She retired in 1984.



She was a member of Doniphan United Methodist Church.



Those left to cherish her memory include numerous nieces & nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Fred, Loren and Ronald Sherman, sister & brother-in-law, Arlys & Darrell Anderson and nephew Roger Sherman.
