At Our Alberding-Wilson Location, Harvard, NE. Former Harvard resident Ruth E. Hamburger, 85, died, Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings, NE. Services will be Wednesday, August 8th, 2007 at 3 PM at Peace Chapel, Perkins Pavilion 100, GSV, Hastings, NE, with the Rev. Art Schakat officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Arrangements by Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Miss. Hamburger was born April 9, 1922, to John G. and Christina (Yost) Hamburger in rural Harvard, NE. She attended Harvard Public School and graduated from Harvard High in 1940. She was employed by McPeek Cleaners in Harvard for over 25 years, retiring in 1972 due to health problems. She lovingly cared for her father and mother until their deaths in 1972 and 1980. The next 10 years she spent with her sister Alice, caring for each other, until Alices death in 1990. She was a life long resident of Harvard until 1998 when she moved to Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings, NE. Growing up she attended the Evangelical United Brethern Church and later became a member of the Harvard United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Woman and the Harvard Womans Club. Ruth is survived by a 1 niece and 5 nephews a host of friends and adopted families She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, Clara, Ester, Alice, Maguerite and Bertha and an infant brother. A Memorial will be established.
