Ruth Frances Workman

Ruth Frances Stone Workman was born January 9, 1920 in Harvard, NE. She passed away in Ruston, LA, January 13, 2013. Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2 pm at the Harvard United Methodist Church in Harvard, NE with Rev. Travis King officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard; NE. Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Ruth spent her early years in Fairmont, Nebraska where she graduated from high school. Ruth and her husband, Norman Workman, had a photo studio in Littleton, Colorado for many years. After retiring, they spent summers at Grand Lake, Colorado and winters in Phoenix, Arizona. Ruth Also enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and entertaining her family and friends in Grand Lake. Ruth and her husband moved to Ruston, LA in October of 1999. She will be missed. Ruth is survived by her brother: Robert Stone and wife Sherol of Sutton, Nebraska; her sister-in-law: Winona Stone of Fairmont, Nebraska; her sister: Helen Simmering of Ruston, LA as well as her nieces and nephews who were all very special to her. She was preceded in death by her parents: Leroy L. Stone and Grace Farrall Stone; her husband of 65 years: Norman Workman; brother, Wayne Stone, sister: Doris Morris and husband Ken and one brother-in-law, Weston Simmering. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Hospice of Caring Hearts and the Arbor and Terrace both of Ruston, LA for all the care and kindness.
