Ruth Marie Moore

Hastings resident, Ruth Marie (Howard) Moore, 87, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at Perkin Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Services will be Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 11 AM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Monday, August 15, 2011 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Ruth was born January 17, 1924 to Lilburn and Lillian Howard in Orlando, Florida. She grew up in Burwell and Angus, NE. She married Rolland Dale Moore on June 12, 1950 he passed away June 1, 1986. She was in the Womans Air Corps during WWII from 1944 to 1945, after the war she worked for the Lincoln, Telephone Company in Lincoln, NE. She is survived by 2 children, Daniel Moore and Martha Lyon both of Hastings, NE, 2 granddaughters, Kristen Moore of Lincoln, Ne and Mary Crisafulli of Omaha, NE, 3 neices and 1 nephew and 1 brother Herbert O. Howard of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband R. Dale Moore, and 2 sisters. Memorials may be given to the family or the American Breast Cancer Research.
