Sandra E. Patzer

Sandra E. Provolt Patzer, 71 of Grand Island, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Apfel Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Canady officiating. Inurnment of the ashes will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the True North Church, Grand Island or The Brain Trauma Foundation. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra E. Provolt Patzer was born March 19, 1947 in Dickinson, North Dakota the daughter of Gerald & Gladys (Newby) Provolt. She received her education at Jamestown Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1965.

She was united in marriage to Donald E.L. Patzer, February 5, 1966 in Jamestown, North Dakota. The couple made their home in Minnesota and North Dakota before moving to Grand Island where she continued her career in the dental profession.

Faith was an important part of her life, as were times of fellowship with family, friends and a good game of Bridge. Her smile would light up a room, especially in the presence of her children and grandchildren. Her gifts were shared through a game of cards, PEO, Bible Study at her church and reading.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Donald Patzer of Grand Island, NE, children: Shelley Patzer Howe (Evan) and their children, Alex, Alicia and Conner of Prairie Village, Kansas; Karmen Patzer DeBaene (Kevin) and their children, Abbey, Kyle and Elyse, of Naperville, IL; Craig (Stephanie) Patzer and their children, Hank & Sawyer of Glenwood, Iowa; brother, & sister-in-law, Scott & Marianne Provolt of Fargo, North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sheryl.
