Shannon M. Lowell

Shannon Lowell, 55, of Grand Island died Monday, December 2, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from noon to 3 pm at the Wood River Community Center in Wood River. Please come at this time and join the family for a luncheon and to remember Shannon’s life. Please dress causal and wear red which was Shannon’s favorite color.  A private family committal service will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery near Wood River. Memorials are suggested to the GRACE Foundation. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Shannon was born July 1, 1969 in Grand Island, the daughter of Paul and Diane (Schoneberg) Lowell. She grew up in Grand Island and Wood River and attended Wood River Schools.
Shannon was united in marriage to Eric Manka in 1989 in Omaha. They moved back to Grand Island where Shannon raised her family.  
Shannon is survived by three sons; Cody Manka, Josh Manka, and Tyler Manka, one daughter; Shelby (Bryan Liske) Manka, her parents; Paul and Diane Lowell, brother Shawn Lowell, sister Kelly (Brad) Dobesh, and two grandchildren; Zaiden Manka and Kinzlee Liske.
