Shawn Hadley Hoover

Shawn Hadley Hoover, the son of Kenneth and Alice (Patterson) Hoover, was born July 1, 1969, in Adams County, Nebraska. He departed this life at his home in Hastings, NE on March 20, 2021, at the age of 51.



Shawn worked various jobs throughout his life while living at home and helping out his parents in Hastings. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and had a fond love for animals with a dog or three always running around the home. Most especially, Shawn had a love for country music and was an avid Huskers football fan. His biggest pride was his daughter Kortney finishing college and working as a schoolteacher in Omaha and starting a family of her own. Those who knew Shawn well knew him to have a good heart and always willing to help anyone out.



Shawn is survived by his mother, Alice (Patterson) Hoover, his daughter, Kortney (Hoover) Daws, and her husband Adam Daws of Omaha, NE. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Hayden Daws and a sister, Angie (Hoover) Nowka in Beatrice, NE, and her husband Mark Nowka, as well as several nieces and nephews.



Shawn is preceded in death by his father and one sister, Krissy Grummert of Hastings, NE.
