Sheila Anne Fullerton

Hastings resident, Sheila Anne (Kerr) Fullerton, 53 passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by the love of her family.



Services will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11 am at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Kent Rogers officiating. Visitation with family present will be Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in care of the family. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com.



In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society to help find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer.



Sheila was born January 22, 1965 to Houston Ray and Donna Lavone (Ghram) Kerr in Hastings. Growing up in Holdrege, moving to Blue Hill in the 7th grade. Graduating from the Blue Hill High School in 1983. She married Gary Fullerton on January 28, 1984 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings. She attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center receiving her BS in nursing. Moving to Salina, KS in 1998 she worked at the Salina Regional Health Center for 15 years. In 2014 she moved back to Hastings working at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare for two years then retired in 2018 after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer.



Sheila enjoyed her family; her girls were her world and she loved spoiling her grandchildren. Reading romance novels was her other passion.





She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings.



She is survived by her husband Gary of Hastings, her daughters, Kirsten Leonard of Hastings, Kailynn Fullerton of Omaha, her mother, Donna Kerr, sister, Sonja Krueger, brothers Stuart Kerr (Peggy) all of Blue Hill and Robert Kerr (Donna) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, two grandchildren, Kyla and Alec Leonard, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, best friend since 7th grade Sally (Shriver) Snyder and mother-in-law Deloris Fullerton both of Hastings.



She was preceded in death by her father, brother-in-law, Larry Krueger, father-in-law, Donald Fullerton and sister-in-law, Valerie Kerr.
