Sheila M. Steinbarger

Hastings resident, Sheila M. Steinbarger, 79, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at her home. Services will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9 am to 9 pm with family present from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, Ne. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Mary Lanning Memorial Health Care Hospice or Perkins Pavilion both in Hastings, NE. Sheila was born September 21, 1932 to Robert and Mollie (Schildt) Ehrlich in Scottsbluff, NE. She graduated from the Scottsbluff High School in 1950. She married Robert Steinbarger on June 28, 1953 in Scottsbluff, NE. They moved to Hastings, NE in 1971 coming from Scottsbluff, NE. She worked in the school lunch program at Hawthorne School in Hastings, NE. Later she worked at Bobs Electric Supply in Hastings, NE were she was vice-president. She enjoyed bowling and spending summers in South Dakota and winters in Arizona. She made many friends wherever she went. She is survived by her husband Robert of Hastings, NE, one daughter Susan Wolz and husband David of Council Bluffs,Iowa, one brother James Ehrlich and wife Carol of Bella Vista, Arkansas, one sister, Gloria Harrington of Scottsbluff, NE, one nephew, Richard Harrington and wife Carol of Gering, NE, and two nieces, LeAnn Jones and husband Tim of Arkansas, and Lisa Butler and husband Mike of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son Michael.
