Mr. Norine was born on May 19, 1955 in Willmar, Minnesota the son of Quentin & Kathleen (Carroll) Norine. He grew up in Atwater, Minnesota area, graduating from high school in 1973.

Stan was united in marriage to Cheryl Wernke, October 12, 1991 in Grand Island, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Citrus Heights, California, where he was an electrician for over 35 years. He also lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota while attending electrical school graduating in 1976 and Phoenix, Arizona as an electrician.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Citrus Heights, California.

Stan loved GOLF! Just say the word, and he was off and running. I was blessed to be with him on March 31, 2008 when he shot an 88 at Pebble Beach and also played at Spyglass. In 1992 we attended the US Open at Pebble Beach. Whatever the weather or conditions, it didn’t matter. He also loved watching golf on TV and we especially watched the Ryder Cup together.

I met Stan on October 23, 1985, when he asked me if I wanted to come over for some ice cream, and the following night we went to a Foreigner concert in Oakland. It was love at first sight for me! I have been so blessed to be with my sweetie for as long as we’ve had together. God gave me the most perfect husband and I’ve cherished every moment. Stan was and will be forever, the love of my life, my best friend and he knew that. Everyone that ever met him, fell in love with him too. He was so patient and calm, kind and honest. He loved talking with everybody and doing things to help his friends and co-workers.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cheryl of Citrus Heights, California, daughter & son-in-law, Cristin & Isaac Frost of Portland, Oregon, his mother, Kathleen Norine, Willmar, Minnesota, two brothers, Jon & Barbara Norine of Two Harbors, Minnesota and Jerry Norine of Willmar, Minnesota. He also had several nieces & nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Quentin Norine, brother, Steven Norine, grandparents, Emil Norine’s and John Carroll’s.
