Juniata resident, Susie E. Soules, 86, of 1019 Juniata Ave. died Monday, March 27, 2006, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Friday, March 31, 2006 at the Kennard Baptist Church Kennard, Texas. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery, Ratcliff, Texas. Mrs. Soules was born, September 2, 1919 to Walter Eugene and Willie Ardelia (Willbern) Benskin in Llano County, Texas. She graduated from Cherokee High School, Cherokee, Texas in 1939. She married C. W. Soules, April 19, 1940 in Richland Springs, Texas, he died October 17, 1997. She was a housewife, beautician and laundry employee. She lived in Texas most all her life, except for 20 years in Rangley, CO. She has lived in Juniata, since 1999. She was a member of the Kennard Baptist Church in Kennard, Texas and Grace Baptist Church in Hastings, NE. She loved to sew, knit and loved flowers. She is survived by, 4 daughters, Betty Stice, of Big Lake, Texas, Ann Vath of Juniata, NE, Jo Dendy of Brownwood, Texas, and Carolyn Spears of Austin, TX, 4 sons, Charles (Bud) Soules of Gilmer, Texas, Robert (Bobby) Soules of Carlsbad, Texas, James (Jimmy) Soules of Montgomery, Texas and Freddie Soules of Sonora, CA. 20 Grandchildren and 34 Great-Grandchildren. 1 sister, Fern Woolsey of Cherokee, Texas, 3 brothers, Sonny Benskin of Kennard, Texas, Jimp Benskin of Pleasanton, Texas, Charlie Benskin of Cherokee, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 sister. Memorials may be given to the family.
