Terry Steinkruger, 82, of Grand Island, Nebraska, died on January 19, 2022, at CHI St. Francis from complications of COVID.
Terry was born on August 23, 1939, on the family farm near Upland, Nebraska, to William C. and Anne (Schurmann) Steinkruger. He was one of three children.
Terry graduated from Franklin High School in 1956, and went on to attend Kearney State College, graduating in 1960, with a degree in Business Education. On December 20, 1959, he was united in marriage to Ruth Kahrs, at Bloomington, Nebraska. He worked at New Holland from 1966 to 1997.
Terry is survived by his wife, Ruth of Grand Island; daughters Marcia (Glen) Wragge of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jean (Terry) Harms of Franklin, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Jacob Wragge, Ellie (Zach) Jepperson, Morgan (Ethan) Rundle, Jordan Harms; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Emily Rundle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Anne Steinkruger; his in-laws, Kenneth and Emily Kahrs; and brothers, Keith and Neal Steinkruger.
A memorial service will be on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. Masks are required to be worn. The Rev. Anny Kapundu will officiate. The service will be live streamed on the church facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/trinityumcgi. A private inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Franklin, Nebraska, at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to go to the donor’s choice.
