Victor Allen Lambrecht

Victor A. Lambrecht, 79 of Wood River, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Good Samaritan Society, Wood River.



Services will be at 10 am, Monday, November 7, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church in Prosser with the Rev. Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in Wood River Cemetery. Visitation hours will be from 4 to 6 pm, Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church in Prosser. Memorials are suggested to Serene Care Hospice or The Good Samaritan Center. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.



Victor Allen Lambrecht was born September 20, 1937 in Prosser, Nebraska the son of Arthur and Leona (Katzberg) Lambrecht. He grew up on a farm near Wood River and received his education at Wood River Public Schools.



He entered the United States Army January 41. 1957 and was honorably discharges October 31, 1958.



He was united in marriage to Karlene Opp on November 15, 1959 at Wood River. The couple lived on Wood River, Grand Island and back in Wood River in 1978 and Victor worked as a farmer and rancher.



He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wood River.



Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Kirt and Gale Lambrecht of Wood River, two daughters, Vickie Gillespie of Battle Creek, NE and Valorie Swartz of Norfolk, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother Eldon and wife Glane Lambrecht of Loup City, two sisters, Judy Rainforth of Waterloo and Carolyn and husband Jim McCurry of Kearney.



He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Karlene, sister Eleanor Binfield, two brothers Clinton Lambrecht and Leonard Lambrecht
