Campbell resident, Virgil H. Jacobitz, 84, passed away Sunday, August 25th, 2013 at the Kenesaw Haven Home, Kenesaw, NE. Services will be Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein, NE with Rev. Harold King officiating. Burial will be in the St. Pauls Lutheran Churchyard Cememtery, Holstein, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 9 am to 8 pm with the family present from4 pm to 8 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home ~ Kenesaw, NE formerly Jackson ~Wilson Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw is in charge of the arrangements. Virgil was born January 8, 1929 to Ernst O. and Elsie (Kleier) Jacobitz near Kenesaw, NE. He attended public school in Kenesaw. Virgil served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 with time spent in Korea. He married Glenna Stuive on August 17, 1957 in Sylvan Grove, KS at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong farmer in southwest Adams County. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein. He is survived by wife Glenna of Hastings, a son, Arlon (JoEllen) Jacobitz of Campbell, three daughters, Janelle (scott) Null of Independence, KS, Connie (Ken) Kulwicki of Ravenna and Joni (Randy) Noble of Shreveport, LA, eleven grandchildren, one great grandson, three brothers Dean Jacobitz of Kenesaw, Delano Jacobitz of Prosser and Verdon Jacobitz of Kenesaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Elmer Jacobitz and one granddaughter.
