Virginia Lee Good (Pettit) 94 of Grand Island, NE died on February 26, 2022 in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at 10:00 AM. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, NE. Interment will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Peru, NE at 4:00 PM. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church and Stuhr Museum. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family.



Virginia (Ginny) was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 21, 1927 to Arthur and Julia Pettit. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to Richard Good on July 16,1950 in Des Moines. They were members of the Trinity United Methodist church of Grand Island.



Mom was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother. She had a servant heart. Many received birthday cards she individually designed. She loved genealogy, antiques, travel, computers and Nebraska football. She also enjoyed volunteering and worked and participated in many organizations including the YWCA, Red Cross, the Soldiers and Sailors home, GI International Visitors, Stuhr Museum and the United Way. She was a member of PP Genealogical Society, Extension Service, St. Francis Medical Society, Hall County Fair, Crane Meadows and church circle.



Survivors include daughters, Kathy Rollman (Walt) from Alleman, IA, Joan Doherty (Jeff) from Columbia, TN and 7 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, Sons, Paul and Alan and sister, Barb Carlson and brother, Chuck Pettit.
