Vitanha Xayarath

Vithanha Bil Xayarath, 43, of Nashville, TN formerly of Grand Island, died Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Village in Grand Island.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. An Inurnment will be at the Grand Island Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. Friday at Apfel Funeral Home.

He was born on March 2, 1972 at Vientiane, Laos to Khampheua and Bountheng (Chanhthaluxay) Xayarath. He grew up in Grand Island and received his education at the University of NE Lincoln. He also lived in Nashville, TN and was employed by the The State of Tennessee as an Information Resource Support Specialist II. He was a member of the National Association of Asian American Professionals.

Bil had a deep love for nature and being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, running marathons, and playing tennis. He also cherished the times he spent with his family and friends. We will miss his selfless and kind heart. You are with God now Bil. Be our angel and guiding light until we see you again.

Survivors include his parents; and brothers, Phonsavanh Xayarath, Cy Xayarath, and Phanasay Xayarath.
