Hastings resident, Wanda J. Hecht, 56 of 600 South Baltimore, died Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the All Saints Chapel, GSV, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Neil Vik officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2006, from 9 AM to 9 PM and up till service time Wednesday at the Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from, www.brandwilson.com. Mrs. Hecht was born June 13, 1949 to Holetta Franklin and Billie Lovenia (Todd) Whitson in Norfolk, Virginia. She married Richard "Tricky Dick" Hecht, June 1, 1999 in Hastings, NE. She has lived in Hastings, NE since 1969. She was the co-owner of the Pit-Stop Tavern in Hastings, NE, she also owned Wanda's Daycare in Hastings, NE. She was President of the Nebraska County Music Foundation. She is survived by husband Dick, 3 daughters, Tami Moore of Hastings, NE, Teresa Songster of Hastings, NE and Tiffani Veik of Hastings, NE, 1 son Richard Jarosik III of Hastings, NE. 3 Step-Daughters, Deb Quinn of Kearney, NE, Shelly Converse of Lexington, NE, and Rhonda Pederson of Hastings, NE, 1 step-son Richard L. Hecht Jr. of Elwood, NE. and her father Holetta Franklin Whitson, of Queen Creek, AZ, 20 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother. A memorial will be established.
