Wanda Lee Muller

Wanda Lee Muller, 83 of Grand Island, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at her home. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island with Rev. Bill Pavuk officiating. Burial will be in Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation hours will be on Sunday evening from 4 to 8 pm at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to St. Pauls Lutheran church or to the family to be designated at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is serving the family. Wanda Lee Muller was born May 8, 1930 in Doniphan, Nebraska the daughter of Albert & Laura L. (Boltz) Wiese. She grew up in the Wood River area, graduating from Wood River High School with the class of 1948. She was united in marriage to Lloyd L. Muller, December 20, 1953, in St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island. The couple resided in rural Grand Island where they farmed. Mr. Muller preceded her in death March 5, 2008. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church where she was a long time Chairperson for Funeral Luncheons. She enjoyed reading and sewing. Survivors of the immediate family include three daughters and sons in law: Lori & Ted Gillham of Wood River, Kristi & Kevin Iliff of Omaha and Colleen & Dave Niebaum of Blair. Additional survivors include five Grandchildren, Mary & Christopher Gann, Samantha Gillham, Miranda Iliff, Robert Gillham and Beth Niebaum, three step grandchildren, Lamont Gillham, Laura Grieb, and David Niebaum, and five great grandchildren, Joshua, Damion & Mikenna Matson, and Caleb & Aiden Gann. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Laura Wiese, her husband, Lloyd L. Muller, a sister, Lois Wiese and a brother, Roland Wiese.
