Wilbur W. Hogsett

At our Alberding-Wilson location, Harvard, NE. Harvard resident, Wilbur W. Hogsett, 84, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at his home. Services will be Friday, November 6, 2009 at 2 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Harvard, NE with Pastor Cathyann Plumer officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE with military rites. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Wilbur was born November 29, 1924 to Charles Lee and Bessie Grace (Robinson) Hogsett in Lamar, NE. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from November 20, 1942 to December 12, 1945. He raised his family in Illinois. He worked as a welder for Caterpillar, after retiring he moved to Harvard, NE. He was a member of the VFW Club and Moose Lodge. Wilbur was proud of his grandsons. He is survived by 2 daughters, Betty Jean Tewell-Parr of Mountainburg, AK, and JoAnn Groomes of Gurnee, IL, and 1 son, Wayne Charles Hogsett of Alma, AK, 6 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 great grandson, and 1 sister. Memorials may be given to the family.
