Wilma M. Davis

Glenvil resident, Wilma M. Davis, 93, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Friday, April 9, 2010, at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil, NE with Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will be in the Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Wilma was born May 7, 1916 to Guy and Claudia (Yenne) Courtright in Grant, NE. She married Alfred H. Davis on September 13, 1942; he passed away on September 4, 1986. She has lived in the Glenvil area since 1949. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil, NE and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by 1 son, Michael A. Davis and wife Bonnie and 1 daughter, Alyce Sherman and husband Lee C. all of Glenvil, NE. 5 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren, and 1 sister JoAnna Wolfe of Everret, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred, 2 sisters, MaryLou Jackson and Edna Ensley and 1 brother, Charles Courtright. Memorials may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Glenvil Cemetery, both in Glenvil, NE.
