Wyatt was born on December 27, 2006, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Kristin Dubbs and Bryson Nowack.
In the spring of 2008 Wyatt moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado with his mother when he was a toddler. As a toddler Wyatt loved to chase the bunnies in the courtyard outside the home.
In 2012, Wyatt and his mother found their true home in Thornton, Colorado with Wyatt’s supportive Dad and friend Jeff Matthews.
Wyatt loved life, traveling, and spending time on his grandpa and grandma Dubbs’ farm. Every summer the Colorado kid would travel to Nebraska to ride the tractors, and other farm equipment. His highlight were holidays, especially the 4th of July, with the several cousins that he had on his mothers’ side of the family. Wyatt loved buying fireworks with his grandfather and lighting them at the family’s annual fourth of July celebration.
Wyatt enjoyed fishing, deer hunting in Nebraska and Elk hunting and fishing in Colorado with his dad Jeff Matthews. Wyatt enjoyed hunting with his Grandpa Dubbs where he got his first deer without even aiming. He enjoyed hunting with his Uncle Matt, and cousins. Wyatt always commented, being an only child on his mother’s side, that he did not know how his Aunt Theresa could keep track of so many kids. As a young child, Wyatt enjoyed fishing in Colorado with his father, Bryson Nowack during camping trips.
Wyatt knew that he was extremely fortunate to travel to so many places that a lot of people only dreamed about. Along with his parents, Grandpa and Grandma Dubbs, Grandpa and Grandma Matthews, including his Godfather Uncle John Dubbs and his cousin James Dubbs they traveled to various places in the US and Europe, including Ireland, England, Switzerland, Italy, New York, South Dakota, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, California, Texas, Florida and most recently Virginia, Gettysburg and Washington D.C.
He would visit with his Godmother Aunt Angie Palmer about various things, especially about his art and school. Wyatt always enjoyed visiting with his Uncle Cory Palmer, because Cory would not sugarcoat any subject and always made Wyatt laugh.
When Wyatt was back in Colorado, he enjoyed spending time with his Colorado friends and family. Due to his epilepsy Wyatt was unable to go out for any contact school sports. Wyatt really enjoyed playing EA Sports and really looked up to his EA Sport coaches Mr. Frye and Mr. Miller. Wyatt played two years of EA sports at Riverdale Ridge High School. He recently received an award for the player with the most respectful and fair behavior. Wyatt recently began playing D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) and talked in detail after each game he played about what they encountered during their quest in their game. Wyatt talked often about his friend Bonnie Seele who Wyatt said was a good friend who supported him during this last year that was the most difficult for Wyatt. Wyatt enjoyed the drawings she made for him and her honesty when he needed it the most. Wyatt often talked about his many friends, Jackson, Alonzo, Owen, Ayden, Jordan, Anthony, Robyn and many more. Wyatt often talked about his teacher Mr. Scott Durka who Wyatt said he trusted and called a friend. Wyatt was the yearbook photographer and photography editor. Wyatt was looking forward to his senior year at Riverdale Ridge High School as the yearbook photographer. He was looking forward to his Hawaiian vacation this summer to swim with the sharks so that he could have another photo for his senior yearbook about his travels over the summer. He enjoyed being the photographer for the school yearbook so much that he took over 400 photos at his Prom this last spring.
Wyatt was a BIG Avalanche and Bronco fan. Wyatt loved the Avalanche team so much that he watched the Detroit Red Wings vs the Avalanche ESPN documentary unrivaled more than 20 times. Wyatt also wore his Cornhusker hat because it was his grandfather Dubbs’ favorite college football team.
On the weekends he would spend time with Grandpa and Grandma Matthews helping around their home with various odd jobs. But at the end of the day, he enjoyed the visits that the three of them shared. Wyatt enjoyed listening to his Grandpa Matthews’ stories about growing up, his stories about his aunt, uncle and Dad growing up in Colorado.
Due to distance, he visited with Grandpa and Grandma Waller on the phone and in person when time allowed. Wyatt enjoyed spending time with his Grandfather Waller listening to his stories about his military career and growing up during the time of the Civil Rights era. Wyatt enjoyed listening to his Grandma Waller’s laugh and spending time with her playing dice.
One thing for sure, Wyatt genuinely loved his sisters, Daisy, and Josie. When they were younger, they went on camping trips and vacations together. Wyatt has always said his sisters meant the world to him and there wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t think about them or talk about the time they have spent together.
Wyatt’s home was the go-to place for Halloween, everyone on the block looked forward to each year to see what new idea Wyatt may have added to make his location a little spookery but not to frightening and if so, Wyatt would personally take the children thru his display. Wyatt loved the animatronics that his mother bought to put in the front yard for the trick or treaters. Wyatt was looking forward to adding a Beetlejuice animatronic this year to his collection.
Wyatt was recently in Nebraska at the end of June because he wanted to have his Senior pictures taken with Grandpa’s tractor and at the farm.
Wyatt’s final resting place will be at the Cameron Cemetery close to the farm that he loved to spend time at.
