Hastings resident Zelma Marie Schultz passed away on November 27, 2006 at her home in Perkins Pavilion at Good Samaritan Village. There will be no funeral services but burial will be at a later date in the Kenesaw Cemetery in Kenesaw, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. The daughter of Ezra Ernst Schultz and Ona Blythe Schultz, Zelma was born in Hastings on April 27, 1917. She graduated from Hastings High School. Along with her parents, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hastings. For the past 28 years, she has been a resident of Good Samaritan Village. She is survived by her brother, Dale L. Schultz, of Sedona, Arizona, two nephews, Dr. Randy Schultz of Durango, Colorado and Jon Schultz and wife Suzette Schultz of Galveston, Texas, as well as two grandnephews, Jeff Schultz of Austin, Texas, and Marcus Schultz of Hermosa, California, and one great grandniece. Zelma was preceded in death by a brother, Elbert Eldon Schultz. Her family feels immense gratitude to the staff of Perkins Pavilion and Good Samaritan Village for the love and care that Zelma received at their hands. The family asks that memorials should be to benefit Good Samaritan Village.
